About the author
Dr Mike Bindon
Dr Mike Bindon is an international arts education specialist, filmmaker and artist. For eleven years he led the global development of the International Baccalaureate’s Diploma Programme arts courses.
He holds a Doctorate in International Education from the University of Bath, where his research into arts participation was awarded the Jeff Thompson Prize. That research, studying IB World Schools on four continents, forms the foundation of Unlocking the Arts.
Mike is Executive Director of ISTA Global Arts Learning, a UK charity delivering arts experiences and professional learning for young people and educators worldwide.
